i want to get my toes and nails done but my left big toe is shorter and i am going to get them done in 3 weeks. some of the skin around the nail is white grey when it touches water for a while. does it tickle when the person giving the pedicure massages the foot? does every nail salon do french manicures and pedicures? how do u know if a spa is good and sanitary? r facials worth it for a 13 year old with not really any acne? what do they do during a facial? does it hurt? does cutting your cuticles hurt? do false nails ruin your real nails? is 13 too young to get makeup done at a salon and spa? do you show everthing during a massage? what r the best treatments for a 13 year olds b-day?
What is there to expect from a spa visit?
does every nail salon do french manicures and pedicures?
Every one that I have been to does. It is sandard everywhere and everyone pretty much knows what they are.
how do u know if a spa is good and sanitary?
Well most of them are that is why they are still in business. I always have been referred to the spas that I go to and if it is a new one that I don't know about I look up reviews and then just take my chances. I have never had a bad experience so far.
r facials worth it for a 13 year old with not really any acne?
I love facials and it does feel great when they are done. I am not too sure how much it will benefit you because of your age but I know that it wont hurt so get it done.
what do they do during a facial?
They cleanse your face, steam it with towels, take care of pimples or dry spots, cleanse again, massage with certain creams and dry.
does it hurt?
It does hurt but at the same time it feels good. I have a little bit of acne so that was what hurt was when they were touching that area but other than that if feels great.
does cutting your cuticles hurt?
To me it feels great to get all of that crap off my nails and for them to actually be clean are pretty.
do false nails ruin your real nails?
Yes, they do. If you get them, make sure that you really want them. When you are taking them off, make sure you don't do it, make sure you go in a get them taken off and they will look a little better that way. Mine just recenetly grew out and now they look good again.
is 13 too young to get makeup done at a salon and spa?
Well it depends of the occasion but I would say yes that 13 is too young. Maybe for a wedding where everyone is having matching makeup but if it is not for that then I would not waste the money.
do you show everthing during a massage?
I always have just worn my underware. You are covered the whole time with sheets so you should be fine.
what r the best treatments for a 13 year olds b-day?
Treatments, well I think that you know them since you just listed them. But you should get a pedicure, manicure, facial, eyebrow wax (if needed) and a massage.

How do I get teeth, skin, and a body high quality?
Right now I'm having an acne break out... bummer.
I'm planning on getting the Neutrogena Wave, and Nivea toner and moisturizer. Think that'll help get picture perfect skin?
I have braces at the moment but when I get them off I want to get them unnaturally white, any tips? Any tooth pastes or whitening treatments non-dentist related that you reccommend?
And body I'm skinny but no 6 pack = [
So how do I get that going for me?
How do I get teeth, skin, and a body high quality?
my husband had acne when we were datin, he tried apricot scrub: St Ives and that worked. The "cheap" noxema works as well. You don't have to buy the expensive stuff (sometimes they don't work and can even make the problem worse). The other thin is could be how you're showerin (not to sound personal) My hubby would wash his hair last and that would cause breakouts on his face and back so I told him to literally wash head to toe and now he'll get a few pimples instead of lookin like the face of a moon ^_^ (that even works when after you wash your hair put in conditioner, if you use it, rinse then continue to wash face and go down cleanin yourself.
For the teeth, listerine products: use the pre-rinse whitener, brush with 24hr protection (colgate) and rinse after with a mouth rinse.
If you want beauty, go natural, it's the best. if you bleach your tetth to make them look unnatural white that actually causes more damage.
encourage these into your eating routine:
dairy- reduces risk tooth decay
sugarless gum (20 min chew)- reduces tooth decay
raw veggies- natural toothbrush
nuts- protect teeth against bacteria
oranges, kiwi, strawberries- kills bacteria in mouth
wait 30 min after eatin before brushin (your teeth are at most vulnerable within 30 min from eatin)
avoid drinkin too much tea and coffee, they stain teeth
get a good lookin body, walk walk walk!!! it's easy on joints and proven to be more effective than runnin (speed walkin is good too). Bikin is good for buildin muscle in the legs (must be on higher settin though, no easy peasy) leg lifts are great for stomach (to do these: lie on back with hands restin on lower back, palms down...comfortable near butt. legs straight out lift slow 6in hold 1 min go slightly higher, hold 1 min. go down hold 1 min. do this for 10 min or as long as you want)
do ABC weight lifts for arms (to do these: take a hand weight, hold it straight out in front of you, stand wide, feet squared with shoulders. take the weight and draw the ABC's in the air in front of you.) Everythin except walkin and bikin should be done with control and slow for results. Walkin and bikin should be at your pace...NEVER PUSH BEYOND WHAT YOU CAN DO!!!!!!!! doin so will cause problems
I won't guarantee 100% perfection, but this does keep your body in shape and healthy (don't forget to eat healthy)
How do I get teeth, skin, and a body high quality?

Reply:As I say to everyone for acne you an egg white.
Egg White Mask
This is simple and quite frugal. There have been many instances of people reporting excellent results from trying it.
What is it? Egg white. Simple egg white.
All you need to do is separate the yolk from the egg whites. Then whip the egg whites until it is nice and frothy. Apply it to your clean face (using clean hands). Leave on for approximately 20 minutes and wash off with warm water.
The result? Tightening of the skin, clearing of red spots.
Possible side effects? If you鈥檙e allergic to eggs, of course, avoid this one.

Oily Skin and Pores?
Hi,
I have real oily skin and would like to know if there are any natural treatments that would help me. I am getting married in another 2 months and wold like to look great for the occasion. Due to oily skin, I have large pores that I want to reduce. Also, my acne had discolored some of my skin. Is there a way to get back to natural color? Please advice me. Thanks much!
Oily Skin and Pores?
Hey like try products thats says "takes oily skin away" or try make-up
Oily Skin and Pores?
I used a dead sea mud soap that was pretty good. My dermotologist recommended it. I buy it at http://www.bpcosmetics.com/Face-Natural-... They also sell and acne soap.
Reply:I used to have oily skin, and large pores as well. I mixed some brown sugar and water, to make a scrub, which i use twice daily. It exfoliates the dead skin, minimizes pores and gives you a nice healthy looking glow. I was skeptical, I thought the sugar would give me more acne, but it actually helped. You could also try using a cobalt soap, that you can buy at places like the Bulk Barn, or any natural health store. But it can be be really drying. Invest in a good moisturizer, preferably one with sunscreen. I like St. Ives Collagen/Elastin facial moisturizer, althought it doesn't have any sunscreen. It's light, and doesnt make you feel greasy. And make sure you never ever wear makeup to bed! It builds up layers on your face. Stick to products that are fragrance and oil free, and you should be fine.

I have a massive event coming up in a month. Do you think your method with help me get rid of the pores by then? Could I do it twice daily to speed up the process? TREATMENT: This treatment works just effectively on oily skin which as`stated above is invariably the result of countless harmful and chemical ingredients in soaps, face cleaners and nearly all other cosmetic products. Massage with a quite vigorous motion - you will find you can make it more vigorous as you progress -. using a natural oil - olive, coconut, vitamin E oils work really well. Skin is always shedding and renewing, the massaging friction hastens a blemish free new skin to emerge with pores very much reduced. Initially, skin has to adjust and if soreness, breakouts or other reactions happen - stop and` resume when you can. You will see very noticeable results in a few days and will completely diminish if you keep up the treatment. It completely and permanently rid me of discolorations and many other serious conditions and I have had a radiant, blemish free, healthy skin.for many years. You will not need to use any other product - not even moisturizers - only unhealthy skins need constant moisturizing.

How to get rid of spots on your chin?
Go for a facial peeling and they will go away.

Stop eating chocolate, and/or base make up on your face. try a low fat diet, i.e no fried foods like eggs, chips

Reply:change your bedlinen regularly, your chin comes into contact with them a lot, and can pick up a lot of grease, apart from that try Geranium oil, you can get it at a health food shop, a little dab neat will burn for a minute but dries up spots in no time!

Reply:Try dabbing TCP on them - used to work for me.
Reply:Dab them with Dettol antiseptic.
Reply:I had bad spots on my chin for years too. Really painful under-the-skin types that would swell up the whole of my chin and make me look like I'd been punched in the face!
I got rid of them by using Oxy On The Spot cream. It has Benzoyle Peroxide (BP) in it which is the ingredient which kills the spot. It works by feeding oxygen into the skin, acne bacteria cannot live in an oxygen filled environment and will die. Therefore, your spots will not be able to develop and so will disappear.
After washing, apply lots of BP cream to your chin, don't be afraid of using a lot, smear it all over your chin. Gently rub it into your skin. You should be so gentle that your skin should barely move underneath your finger. It will take a while to soak in so be patient, and don't be tempted to rub harder or else you will aggravate your skin!
After the cream has completely been rubbed in you may want to rub on a little moisturiser, as BP can tend to make the skin feel a little dry.
During the first 2 weeks, you may find your chin will be red and flaky. This is normal, as the skin has to harden itself against the BP. Stick with it. The redness will die down after a couple of weeks. The BP will kill your spots for you, you just have to give it time. Don't let the redness or dryness put you off, the skin has to shed its outer layers for the BP to be effective.
My chin was swamped in cystic spots and now thay have gone thanks to BP. Its brilliant.
Reply:Have you tried mineral makeup (if you wear makeup!). It covers spots and doesn't irritate your skin.
puritycosmetics.co.uk is a good brand.
Reply:Try visiting a facialist. A dermalogica facial does wonders for spots!!

What kind of skin care routine should I follow?
I am fourteen years old and I've never a problem with acne. But lately, I noticed my skin gets really oily on my nose and my forehead, and I'm starting to break out.
I don't take care of my face much, all I do is wash it in the morning with Clean %26amp; Clear face wash. I know there is toners, moisturizers, masks, treatments, etc. out there but I don't know which ones to use and how to use them and when to use them (let alone what they do and how they help!).
I need to know which skin products to use and which certain brands you'd recommend for me. I want to start taking care of this before it's too late and my face is covered with zits. So, please, please educate me. I'm practically clueless on this topic.
Basically, I'm looking for a thorough, informative answer and it would help if the products weren't too expesive.
Thank you so much!

I have found this cleanser to be great for any face without drying it out or making it feel oily:
www.cetaphil.com
Cetaphil庐 Daily Facial Cleanser For Normal to Oily Skin is effective for normal, combination or oily skin. Its non-irritating formula is designed to remove surface oils, dirt and makeup without leaving skin feeling tight or overly dry. It is a foaming cleanser that leaves skin with a clean feeling. It doesn鈥檛 leave behind any irritating residue and is non-comedogenic.
Great for use at night before going to bed.

Try meeting with a dermatologist and find a good plan for you and your skin type. Also I clean and clear makes these great oil wipes that you can find at your local drug store.
Reply:wash it 2x a day, over doing it will take out too many oils
use a day moisturizer w/a uhv in it, the sun can be too bright if there is snow on the ground and night moisturizer for normal to oily skin.
day is lighter weight than night and u should wear it under u'r make-up if u r using any.
a facial mask 1x a wk is plenty.
when i get acne i use a special wash called clearskin from Avon and it works great.
Reply:Everyone's body chemistry is changing all the time, so sometimes we get zits, and sometimes our faces look awesome. Keep in mind to that for girls, we tend to break out around the time of our periods because of hormones and stuff. First find out your overall skin type. Dry skin (Does your skin sometimes feel tight, like if you need to put cream on?), oily skin (Your skin gets greasy all the time, prone to break out easily), or t-zone (where your nose and forehead get greasy while other parts like your chin and cheeks are normal or dry). From what you put, it sounds like your a t-zone skin type, so buy a gentle face wash for that type. If you can't find one buy one that's for normal to dry skin types. Another good thing to do is to exfoliate your skin about 2 to 3 times a week only, because overdoing it will make your skin really dry. Exfoliating face washes have little bead things that work like little scrubbers on your face; they scrub away layers of dirt and dead cells that cover our faces so that when we rinse it off the fresher skin underneath can breathe and our faces look cleaner. Just be sure to do it like 2 to 3 times a week and when exfoliating be gentle with it so don't rub to hard (St. Ive's Apricot face wash is an exfoliator I think). Overall, I think the best thing you can do is drink water more than anything. Be sure that your drinking more water than cokes and sugared drinks. Wash your bed sheets in hot water and put them in the dryer AT LEAST once a week. It's the little things you do that help your skin. And don't expect results right away, just stick with it and make a little routine for face washing and exfoliating. Good Luck!

Pesky pimple problems!!!!?
okay so i am 14 and i used to have really clear skin. I recently started getting alot of pimples all over my face. Especially the sides of my nose, my nose and my chin. Alot of pimples for me is like 7 or 8 at one time. They are not acne because they go away, leave no scar, and they are bright red the whole time i have them on my face. what is the best way to get rid of random pest pimples? I currently use neutrogena face wash and clearasil ultra for spot treatments. what else can i use???
Pesky pimple problems!!!!?
apply a dab of toothpaste on the pimple and leave it on overnight.
Pesky pimple problems!!!!?
lol u realize you just made an alliteration with the question?
:D
english class is getting to my brain!
Reply:Perhaps try St. Ives Apricot scrub.
Reply:that happens to me all the time. I am also 14, and i wear make up. but I seem to get them on my nose to, one at a time. so my mom told me to wash my face before I go to sleep. it seems to work out for me.
Reply:use stridex pads after you wash your face
Reply:im 13 and i never eat oily food or really salty and i havent ever had a pimble and strees dont help snd dont wear alot of make-up if u do wash ur face and wash ur face 5 times a day it will help
Reply:retin-A micro cream you a pea size on your face at night and in a week or 2 all break outs should be gone and it should stop future ones. It was the only think that ever worked for my skin. Also before you put it on wash your face with soap and water those face washes sometimes have chemicals that can actually cloge pores. also if you ever use lotion on your face make sure it says non-comedogenic(wont cloge pores). Hope this helps. Also clean and clear oil absorbing sheets. They instantly remove oil but they wont smudge or take off your makeup. Makeup does not cloge pores!
Reply:TOOTHPASTE and i cannot stress this enough it is the best and cheapest way to go. just put it on the areas and leave on over night and when u wake up in the morning just wash off and dab try dont scrub because this causes oil and more pimples
Reply:Okay. First of all, toothpaste is not the most reliable source for getting rid of pimples. It will dry it out at the most. Washing your face may help, but only if your skin is oily. I think I have the same problem as you do, but I use Murad skin care. It is this skin care line they sell at Sephora. It is a 3 step line, but I only use step two, it's called Acne Spot Treatment. It's kind of expensive but it will last a while. I just put a thin layer of it on right after dinner, only on the place with the pimples and once before I go to bed. It's all better in the morning!
Reply:WASH your face! I'm 12 and I get acne/ zits and so you know acne DOES go away! but make sure you don't touch your face a lot that can get oil into your pores and clog them up! But use the neutrogena on the spot cream I just started using it for about a week and a half and it works. another thing is when you wash your face, make sure you don't scrub too hard! because it could scuff up the skin. But different people use differnt things for zits and acne and just try to find the product(s) that works best for you! Good Luck!
Reply:For black heads you could get pore cleansing strips or you could apply mixed cornstarch and water onto your pimples and keep it on all night, or toothpaste all night. It will dry out the pimple
Reply:You can clean your skin with apple cider vinegar as a simple home remedy with great results. More such solutions at

use any wash product from the DHC line. It is amazing. I had awful skin and the basic olive soap cleared it up fast and works wonders
Pimple problems!!!!?
I use OXY Chill Factor face scrub acne treatment--really great stuff %26amp; works fast. I also use Clean %26amp; Clear Oil-Free Continuous Control acne wash. Once a day with each (when you get up and when you go to bed) works really well.
Reply:you should try Velocity from Marykay it is really good. i help me clear my face. good luck
Reply:use dove then put on a clean cloth and us alcohol just on the affected areas. day and night
Reply:Well as an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay i do recommend you wash and moisturize your face everyday
if you have oily skin use a cleanser and a moisturizer that will control the oil what i recommend is the Velocity from Mary Kay it is great for all skin types. if you want to try it email me and you can also go to www.marykay.ca
Reply:It is good to know that if you use the same face wash for a long time, your face can become immune to it. So every time you run out of face wash, buy a different brand, or just make sure you switch out eventually.
Also, from personal experience, I don't normally have bad pimple problems either. A couple of months ago it just started getting really bad and i wasn't sure why. I thought it might have to do with the food i was eating, so i googled a list of foods not to eat, and all the websites that came up said that food has nothing to do with it. Anyways, I just ditched the fancy face wash and started using regular Dove soap and face starting clearing up in a few days!!
Reply:Neutrogena Clear Pore.
The best brand is neutrogena.
Their oil free foundation is ah-mazing too if you wear makeup.
Reply:Stop useing neutrogena and clearasil. Ask your mom if she will buy you some Proactive it't really good for the skin and it will make your skin cleaner and clearer i currently use it now and it works.
